«Trade Barriers Briefing»: active monitoring of trading obligations in your export markets

Whether it be new safety standards, hygiene regulations, certification obligations, import duties or state subsidies to local producers: All over the world, governments are constantly introducing new product requirements, regulations and measures that can have a positive or negative impact on Swiss exports. In view of the flood of information, diversity of sources and language barriers, it is becoming increasingly difficult for SMEs in particular to maintain an overview.

To support Swiss SMEs, S-GE has developed the Trade Barriers Briefing in cooperation with the University of St. Gallen. It enables exporting SMEs to keep abreast of new product standards as well as export-relevant government measures and regulations in their active export markets in way that is relevant to their sector and products.

The data is collected, evaluated and processed by Prof. Dr. Simon Evenett and his Global Trade Alert team. It covers the period from January 1, 2017.
